Club Dead- Charlaine Harris
Hate is a strong word; I really hated this book! Not so much the story (although it really wasn't all that great), but I think Harris is a terrible author. This was the third book in the series that I have read, and they are honestly getting increasingly worse, but I am plowing through the Sookie Stackhouse series because I like the show True Blood and I want to see how much the show changed from Harris's books. So far, I am GLAD the HBO show has changed so much- for the better in my opinion! I am going to take a short hiatus from this series until True Blood season 3 "catches up" with this third book.
In the mean time, I've dug out 2 more books from my small library that I have started and never finished. One still has the receipt as the book mark dated July of 2008. Same bookstore trip that I also purchased Tweak, one of the best books I've ever read..and have since read twice while this other book, Broken sits and collects dust! I plan on finishing Broken as soon as I finish the other book I started last summer: A million little pieces by James Frey.

ReplyDeleteTrying to help with your book quota... Have you heard of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins?
If not its a MUST read! There are only 3 books in the series so its not like Harris' long and drawn out series but it is YA fiction so it has to be good, right? The 3rd installment is released on 8/24 so you should be able to read them consecutively. Good Luck!
